Here are three options to chose from from when you are needing to create a shirt:

The first option is geared towards the customer who knows precisely what they need their shirt to say and where the placement of text or logo needs to go. This customer can simply click on the “Design Studio” tab and upload their image onto our model. This will generate an exact replica of what your shirt will look like and in a matter of moments you have just created your t-shirt. Now you are ready to proceed to checkout!

The second option that we offer our customers is geared towards someone who knows they need a custom made shirt but may need help generating an idea. For example, lets say that you love Christmas and wanted to print a shirt with something related but can’t quite narrow down an idea. You are in luck because we have an easy tool built in to make this process easier and less time consuming for you. Again, simply click on our “Design Studio” tab then click on “Clip Art” tab from the menu. From here you will send multiple tabs pop up with generic ideas that will help you pick a specific image. Once that image has been selected you now have the option to manipulate color, size, and placement of the image.

The third option that we offer our customers is a custom made piece that we will design for you. Lets say that you do not have an idea of what image you want and the clipart that we have provided does not match your vision, no problem! Simply call us at 615.943.1402 or send us an email ( to speak with someone regarding the ideas you have and we will help create a custom creation specifically tailored towards your preference. From here we will design the image and send you a visual mock-up of your shirt!

This new design tool not only allows for immediate visual representation of your custom made shirt but it allows you the freedom to create this on your own time. We hope to save you time and energy and make the process of creating t-shirt easy as 1,2,3!

We Support St. Jude

We can all breathe a little easier now that Christmas has come and gone because by now you are probably back in the swing of normalcy and weekly routines. To some the holidays are a reflective season, one that imprints memories both old and new. Maybe you are like me and you are trying to reminisce times of unapologetic togetherness and warmth of family, or maybe you are engulfed by the busyness of creating the memories you want for your own family.

One practice that we at TakeHold Printing want to be known for in 2014 is the act of sacrificial giving. Although it goes against the grain and intent of our Americanized society, the truth is that giving is much more gratifying and rewarding than receiving. We decided to start off 2014 with something a little different, meaning we will be donating a percentage of our profits to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

According to St. Jude’s (2013) their mission is simply this:

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.

So, by now I assume you are wondering that magical question..why? Why would we pick St. Jude’s among so many terrific organizations? The truth is that we appreciate their main mission is to confront disease head on despite race, gender, or financial ability and that their love for children compels them to fight relentlessly for a cure. We feel a passion for giving to this organization and allowing our customers to be a part of the process because that is where the true connect lies. We hope our small act of generosity will inspire you to begin a dialog within yourself and search for what truly matters. Find a cause, one that stirs your heart, and join the fight. Because despite the initial sting of sacrifice you might feel, the feeling of unwavering dedication to a cure, ending world hunger, or orphans, etc. supersedes any momentary “feeling” that your new gadget from Christmas might provide.

The Versatility of a T-shirt!

So, I was standing in my kitchen this morning eating on the go, per my normal routine, when I looked over and noticed a lunch box hanging on the door handle. In the center it stated, “Promotional Products Work!” Although I could not decipher the company’s name, I know first hand that the message is spot on.

Yes, it’s true, a lunch box is a great promotional tool, but an even better way to display a promotional message is a t-shirt! I don’t know about you all in the cyber world, but I happen to love a free t-shirt.

  1. T-shirts allow you to promote before the event occurs: Why not print 50 shirts and have them sent out or worn before your event occurs? This is a great way for conversation to begin about your event, organization, or outreach program you are trying to promote! The beautiful element to a t-shirt is that there are no limitations, they are fairly inexpensive to print and sell, and they can be recycled if the event is reoccurring.
  2. T-shirts are not just a promotional avenue but they send a message: Lets face it, we have all seen some really incredible t-shirts, such as to Write Love on Her Arms, but we have also seen some sloppy work done, too. Nevertheless, each shirt displays a message to a particular audience.. For example, at the beginning of 2013 I attended  the Passion Conference in Atlanta with 20 or so high schoolers- it was an exceptional experience to say the least! Days were filled with passionate speakers, incredibly charismatic worship, and one unifying message spoken over and over again- END IT MOVEMENT. Want to know how they promoted this message that I have seen countless times hundreds of miles away? A bright red X marked on  t-shirts, hats, and whatever other materials they could print on. Want to know why? Because of the message its transmitting to my brain without any spoken words. Regardless of your views on church, slavery, or politics we all know that t-shirts are just one of many mediums for our messages to be displayed to the world!
  3. T-Shirts are a customized piece: Want 4 letters? Done! Want a big bright X? Done! Want a picture of some really bad beach photos where your kids are screaming and some random guy is photo bombing it? Done! T-shirts are an excellent place to let the creativity flow because the designs and opportunities are endless! Also, t-shirts are extremely versatile, meaning they look great on young, older, men, women, or even children.

So there you have it, three reasons why t-shirts are versatile and a great way to promote any event or message! Let us help you craft your vision into a reality- one that you can express to the world!
